In this inspiring film, a large Hollywood cast demonstrates how God utilizes ordinary people to accomplish His purposes. John Qualen portrays a lonely European immigrant waiting for his wife and daughter to join him in America. After he receives a telegram saying his wife has died awaiting embarkation, he wanders around town incoherently. When he encounters a congregation exiting a church service and tries to get someone's attention he is accidentally run over by a car.
