Voyage to Rome (1951)

Paul’s legal right as a Roman to appeal to Caesar is granted and he and Luke board a prison ship to Rome. A ferocious storm erupts, and their ship is capsized. Miraculously, all lives are saved, doubtless due to Paul's faith and prayers. They reach Rome and after Paul's case is presented to Emperor Nero, Nero is persuaded by Seneca to keep Paul under house arrest for two years. Years later with the burning of Rome and renewed persecution of Christians, Paul is warned by Julius of his eminent capture and death, but he declines escape as he knows whatever befalls him is the will of God. As the picture concludes, Paul is being taken by the Romans for the final sentence before the Emperor.
