Childhood of Jesus (1952)

To fulfill the law of Moses, the infant Jesus is brought by Mary and Joseph to the temple priests. As they leave, Simeon and Anna recognize Him as the long-awaited Savior. After the scribes inform Herod of the prophesy of Micah concerning the coming Messiah. Herod then orders the slaughter of all babies under age two in Bethlehem and the surrounding area. Meanwhile, Joseph is told by an angel of the Lord to flee to Egypt until Herod is dead. They are able to do this by means of the gifts of the Magi.
