True story of the Mission to Hawaii in 1820 that introduced Christianity to the Island reenacts the story of Queen Kapiolani, one of the true heroines of Christian history. Queen Kapiolani defied pagan superstition and challenged the fiery "goddess" Pele at Kilauea to demonstrate her faith and convert pagan islanders to Christianity.
